About Charly
Charly is a Chartered Physiotherapist , mother of two girls and owner of a successful canine and equine practice with a clinic in Danehill, East Sussex.

The caseload includes Team GB Agility dogs and their owners to optimise fitness and performance, as well working closely with with many vets across Sussex offering orthopaedic rehabilitation and strengthening after injury or surgery for pets and working dogs. Charly has particular expertise in neurological rehabilitation for dogs following spinal surgery
.
Charly has worked as a Consultant Physiotherapist at Cliffe Equine Vets and enjoys travelling around Sussex to treat a range of horses from happy hackers to top level competition horses working in all disciplines.
In 2013 Charly qualified as a Veterinary Physiotherapist from the University of West England, set up her own practice working in local veterinary practices and gained valuable experience running a voluntary clinic for The Blue Cross in South London. Prior to this she spent 15 years working in the NHS.
This was a fabulous opportunity to gain experience in a range of physiotherapy specialisms including Neurology, Intensive Care, Musculoskeletal, Respiratory, Surgical, and Rehabilitation, before specialising in Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. This wealth of human physiotherapy experience and skills have now been has transferred to her Veterinary Physiotherapy practice.
Charly is passionate about teamwork in musculoskeletal care and believes you and your animals receive better quality treatment and stronger outcomes by working closely with your vet, trainer, farrier and saddler wherever appropriate.
The success of her practice is driven by a commitment to constant learning. In order to offer current, evidence based treatments and understand the latest approaches in the industry Charly trains regularly with vets and other physiotherapists. Her experience in human musculoskeletal physiotherapy means she is also uniquely qualified to treat riders and provide specialist assessment and personally tailored home exercise programmes to improve rider strength and symmetry.

Charly’s has grown up riding and looked after and owned rescue dogs for many years. Her passion and interest is in Eventing. Since losing her horse of a lifetime in 2015 Charly continue to ride whenever possible and will often pop out to local events at weekends to support her clients, with the whole family in tow.
